COMPANY HISTORY  -  The Federal Telegraph Company used the Kolster name for it's radio line which began in
1925. Kolster had organizational difficulites during it's entire existance and was out of business by 1930.

K-20 - Shown here is a 1928 K-20 and K-6 speaker both with matching claw feet. The radio is A.C.powered using
a type 80 rectifier, 26 tubes for the RF stages and a type 71 the audio stage. These radios and speakers were actually
manufactured for Kolster by Brandes Corporation which had been absorbed by Federal Telegraph Company in 1926.
This is certainly one of my favorite radios. The  K-20 Kolster sold for $135.00 in 1928.
